Sal has practised and taught Yoga for 30+ years. Using a combination of movement, postures, breathing techniques and mindful awareness Sal specialises in helping clients develop their own individual Yoga practice.
Yoga Therapy
Yoga has been in practice for thousands of years, but the field of Yoga Therapy is emerging. We now have an evidence base for Yoga as a treatment for many physical and emotional concerns, including body image, chronic pain, depression, stress and anxiety.
How we’ll work together:
Yoga Therapy sessions begin with an assessment of mood, stress, and physical ease/discomfort. From there we explore a variety of practices to develop a home practice for you to work with, specifically tailored to your needs and designed to support your body's innate healing potential. Throughout the process, we stop to check in verbally - your feedback is critical to the work.
You will be invited to listen to your body, connect, tune in and perhaps process whatever arises during session. This depth of exploration comes from learning your edges and boundaries, and making sure you move in alignment with your personal needs, limitations and intentions. We respect all of these and strive to always co-create a safe space with you.
